With The Fugees’ anniversary tour canceled, it seems like Pras had a few words for Lauryn Hill. Recently, TMZ got a hold of his latest track, in which he takes shots at Lauryn Hill and discusses his ongoing federal case.

In the new track which is called “Bar Mitzfa,” Pras can be heard rapping, “Don’t blame me, blame her, she made the mess … not another f***ing penny, is what I told Wyclef Jean.” The news outlet also reports that the song was recorded last week as Pras sought a way to relieve stress following disappointing ticket sales that derailed the iconic hip hop group’s reunion tour.

As we previously reported, a day after the cancellation of the reunion tour for Lauryn Hill and the Fugees, which resulted in ticket refunds without an immediate explanation, Hill released a statement late Wednesday outlining her reasons for the tour’s cancellation. She attributed it to disappointing ticket sales. According to Hill, the decline in sales was influenced by what she referred to as “clickbait headlines” following her decision to cancel the final leg of a tour last fall.

Hill believes that the “sensationalized” coverage of those canceled dates in late 2023 fostered an environment where fans were hesitant to purchase tickets for the upcoming 2024 tour, which was set to kick off this Friday.

“With difficulty the decision was made to pull down our upcoming North American tour dates,” Hill writes in her post. “The shows in the UK and Europe ARE MOVING FORWARD as planned.”

She continued: “Last year, I faced an injury that necessitated the rescheduling of some of my shows. Regrettably, some media outlets’ penchant for sensationalism and clickbait headlines have seemingly created a narrative that has affected ticket sales for the North American portion of the tour. The trust and faith I have in my intentions and my commitment to my art seem to have been overshadowed by this unfortunate portrayal.”

Keep in mind that Pras acknowledged the frustrations of fans who felt justified in boycotting the concerts due to Lauryn’s frequent tardiness and absences. Her lateness not only disrupts his schedule and that of the band but also affects any celebrity guests who might be attending the shows. Eventually, this situation can lead everyone to view the tour as something less than serious.
