Kehlani alleges that her ex-partner is abusive in multiple ways—physically, emotionally, and verbally—and often under the influence. She also claims that his behavior is negatively impacting their daughter, Adeya Nomi.

According to new court documents obtained by TMZ, Kehlani obtained a court-ordered protection order against Javaughn Young-White, the father of her daughter Adeya, following an incident in June where she alleged he forcibly broke through her locked bedroom door. The singer alleges that her ex became enraged after she inquired about a notice she received stating that he had applied for public assistance.

She states that he was living in her back house at the time, spending his days using marijuana, taking magic mushrooms, and isolating himself in his room, which she describes as a mess. Kehlani claims that tensions escalated when Javaughn forced his way into her room, calling her derogatory names and accusing her of being a “b*tch” and a “liar.” He reportedly blamed her for their daughter’s birth, claiming he felt “trapped” and that his life had been “ruined.”

In the documents, Kehlani states that she asked Javaughn to leave that day. When she entered the back house where he had been staying, she found it cluttered with marijuana, food, trash, and other debris.

Kehlani claims that their 5-year-old daughter would frequently spend time with Javaughn in that environment and would return smelling of marijuana. She alleges that Javaughn often becomes so high that he begins to express religious rants, and she believes that during these episodes, he poses a risk to their child.

After five years together, Kehlani states that she can no longer endure the “chaos and abuse,” accusing Javaughn of disrupting her peace of mind and threatening her safety. She mentions that he blocked her and became unreachable after their fight in June.

Kehlani notes that Javaughn occasionally picks up their daughter from school, but she is uncertain about where they go during their time together.

A judge recognized the situation and approved her request for a temporary restraining order, which prohibits Javaughn from contacting her or coming within 100 yards of either Kehlani or Adeya. Additionally, she was granted sole custody of their daughter until a hearing scheduled for next month.
