If you were planning to attend Usher’s concert tonight in Atlanta, Georgia, you’ll need to make new arrangements.

The R&B legend announced on social media that he must postpone tonight’s show. While he didn’t provide specific reasons, he emphasized the need for his body to heal and rest.

In his message, Usher stated, “For my 30-plus year career, 100% of my blood, sweat, and tears has gone into putting on the best performance and creating a memorable experience for my fans. I have every intention of doing that for this tour as well, which is why I have to postpone tonight’s show and reschedule it for a later date to give my body a second to rest and heal. You’ll still get a bit of the past, some of the present, and a unique look into the future on the rescheduled date, but you’ll also be getting 100% of me.”

He continued, “The last thing I want to do is disappoint you, the fans who have been eagerly waiting for this tour to start. However, I wouldn’t be the entertainer that I am if I can’t physically give you my best. My team will be sharing news of the rescheduled date soon. I can’t wait to celebrate this legacy with you. – Usher.”

While some fans may feel disappointed, many shared encouraging messages under his post. One fan wrote, “Good looking out for you! Can’t be the best if you’re not feeling your best.” Another added, “Get some rest, @usher. Praying for complete healing and restoration. Let’s all be gracious and not selfish—he just finished 100 dates in Las Vegas and the Super Bowl, among other things.” A third commented, “Your health is priority #1—praying that He restores it all.”

Usher has had a busy year, recently finishing his Las Vegas residency, headlining the Super Bowl halftime show, and then taking a brief break before returning to the big stage. It’s clear that Usher deserves this much-needed rest to ensure he continues to perform at his best.
