OMG: Couple Win Jackpot At Tampa Casino Before They’re Followed, Robbed & Shot

A fun night at the casino turned into a complete nightmare for a couple in Tampa. After winning a jackpot at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the couple was followed home by men who intended to rob and harm them.

Surveillance footage from the casino allegedly shows one suspect on his phone while trailing the couple into the parking lot, before getting into a Hyundai Sonata that followed the victims to their home. According to Fox13, doorbell camera footage captured the moment the victims arrived at their residence, just before two men rushed to their door and opened fire.

The woman was shot in the calf, and the man sustained gunshot wounds to both legs. The suspects stole a watch and the woman’s purse. Further details regarding their injuries were not immediately available. However, it was revealed that their jackpot prize was just $3,000.

The suspects, identified as Marcus Jenkins, 34, and Tristin Wright, 36, were later tracked down and arrested after investigators reviewed the casino’s surveillance footage.

The victims were identified as Kim Chambliss and her boyfriend Val Delacruz . They spoke to Fox 13 about the incident that occurred on August 2.

“We’re just average people, you know, who are out having a good time, you know, who love each other and enjoying each other’s company,” Chambliss told the news outlet. “And to know that we didn’t even realize that people were following us every step of the way. It’s scary. It’s scary.”

As a result of their actions, Jenkins faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, robbery with a firearm, and aggravated battery. Meanwhile, Wright is charged with principal to aggravated battery, principal to attempted murder, and robbery with a firearm.
