The Braxtons Recall Heartbreaking Final Days with Sister Traci Braxton

In the new episode of The Braxtons that aired Friday, August 16, the family shares their reflections on the passing of Traci Braxton .

During a grief counseling session, emotions ran high as the sisters discussed their loss. Their mother, Evelyn Braxton , expressed her deep desire for Traci’s suffering to end and revealed her feelings of guilt over being unable to “save” her daughter for a third time.

“No one can ever prepare a person to lose their child,” Miss Evelyn stated. “I carried Traci, and she can never be replaced. I almost lost her three times: once when I was pregnant, another time when she had a high fever, but this time I couldn’t save her.” She continued, “It hurts because she was so ill. I prayed that God would take her; I didn’t want to see my child suffering. It was hard.”

The sisters each took a trip down memory lane, recalling the precious time they spent with Traci during her final days. They shared fond memories of dancing, hugging, and watching countless episodes of “Judge Judy,” emphasizing that these moments will be cherished forever. However, despite these meaningful recollections, the pain of their loss still lingers.

As the grieving session progressed, emotions intensified, with each sister narrating their own heartbreaking experiences and struggles with grief.

As previously reported, Traci Braxton passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 50, after battling esophageal cancer for over a year. Toni announced Traci’s death on Instagram in March post, writing in a statement, “It is with the utmost regret that we inform you of the passing of our sister, Traci. Needless to say, she was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer. We will miss her dearly,” the statement continued.
