Nikki wanted to raise awareness of how demanding her job can be. During Prime Week, she was overwhelmed with more 40 packages due to the increased demand from residents. According to the Daily Mail , Nikki captioned her video with a message to encourage customers to top up or offer a snack. “ Kind gestures are greatly appreciated. I just wanted to share awareness on how hard we work, so next time you order online,u order online, don’t forget to tip your driver ,” she wrote.

However, the video caused controversy on TikTok as some agreed that Amazon delivery drivers should be tipped, while others argued that she shouldn’t expect extra compensation for doing her job. Despite the mixed feedback, Nikki, an experienced Amazon driver, emphasized that she and her colleagues would “greatly appreciate” tips or small gestures like snacks.

“Since I have so much stuff in my van, it’s still going to take me just as long if I had 170 stops because I have to look for it,”

In the video posted on July 19, Nikki shared that she delivers to the same houses daily. “Since I have so much stuff in my van, it’s still going to take me just as long if I had 170 stops because I have to look for it,” she explained. She also questioned why those customers spend so much on Amazon orders.

Nikki clarifies that tipping isn’t mandatory, but “it would be a nice thing,” especially if a driver delivers packages to the same houses daily. Despite having a van filled with packages, Nikki mentioned that she had 138 stops to make that day. “I love my job, and I love what I do. I just wanted to enlighten you guys on what we have to deal with,” Nikki said, recounting a time when a customer gave her $20 for delivering eight 50-pound boxes she explained.
