Clapback queen Cardi B is not letting anyone play with her name or her brand! The New York rapper has taken matters into her own hands after she and her estranged husband, Offset, were accused of underpaying for a mansion in a new lawsuit.

According to TMZ, the owner of the property where Cardi B filmed her music video “Like What” alleged that Cardi B and Offset lied about their filming plans at the mansion. The documents reportedly stated that the couple’s reps told the owner that an unnamed client wanted to film a TikTok at the house. However, the property owner allegedly didn’t know about the music video and provided the usual short-term rental fee while allegedly waiving the rental costs.

Of course, social media had its fair share of opinions on the news, but Cardi quickly jumped in all the online commotion to set the record straight. The rap star took to X (formerly Twitter) to share screen recordings of her conversation with Offset. Not only did it show the two discussing the charges, but she also captioned the post, “We paid those people $10,000 IN CASH to rent the property for a whole 24 hours.”

Furthermore, Cardi B wrote that there were “cameras all over” the house and noted that the realtors and the owners were “there the ENTIRE time.” She continued, “I got pics and videos of them on set!” The rapper then claimed that the alleged TikTok video part was not even mentioned anywhere in the contract.

“Why would it take us 24 hours to shoot a TikTok?” She concluded with a message to the “greedy owners wit their ugly a** house,” stating, “IRON YOUR BEST SUIT BI*** I’ll see you in court!” Whew!

Now everyone knows Cardi B has had her fair share of lawsuits, and for most of them, she has come out on top.

As we previously reported, Cardi sued Tasha K, whose real name is Latasha Kebe, for defamation back in 2019. At the time, she claimed the YouTuber had launched a “malicious campaign” against her and became “obsessed” with her. She won the case in January 2022, with a federal jury ordering Kebe to pay Cardi $4 million in damages and legal fees.

Cardi said she's got receipt then she's got them. They may want to bow out graciously.
