    Bob’s Stores closing all locations in Massachusetts, out of business sale begins

    HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Bob’s Stores announced Monday that they will be closing all their stores and are liquidating all of their inventory.

    Free family activities at Holyoke Mall this summer

    The company has filed a Chapter 11 restructuring petition and says it will be unable to continue operating its stores, including its location in Holyoke at the Holyoke Mall. On Friday, the business began its “Going Out of Business” sale which officers discounts anywhere from 30% to 70% off.

    Dave Barton, President of Bob’s Stores stated, “We regret that our financial position necessitated the liquidation of Bob’s Stores. Bob’s has been a stalwart of our local communities for nearly 70 years, and we know our customers remember us as having been there for major moments in their lives. We remain grateful to our vendors, suppliers, customers, and employees for all of their support over the years.”

    Bob’s Stores is a retail chain that started in Connecticut nearly 70 years ago and sells everything from shoes and workwear to sports gear.

    The following locations will be closing in Massachusetts and Connecticut:

    • Holyoke Mall: 50 Holyoke St Unit C242
    • Attleboro: 287 Washington St
    • Fitchburg: 146 Whalon St
    • Middleton: 230 Main St
    • Randolph: 59 Mazzeo Dr
    • Westborough: 168 Milk St
    • Ansonia, CT: 409 Main St
    • Hamden, CT: 2300 Dixwell Ave
    • Manchester, CT: 179 Pavilions Dr
    • Middletown, CT: 416 East Main St
    • Milford, CT: 195 Cherry St
    • Newington, CT: 172 Kitts Lane
    • Simsbury, CT: 504 Bushy Hill Rd
    • Southington, CT: 835 Queen St
    • Waterbury, CT: 910 Wolcott
    • Waterford, CT: 167 Parkway N

    Gift Cards and Exchanges

    Bob’s Stores will continue to accept gift cards and merchandise credits through their close of business on July 14th. Exchanges will be accepted up to this date as well. Exchanges, returns and gift cards will not be accepted after July 14th.
