    Welcome to the eighth MyCentralJersey.com’s Big Central Conference Readers’ Choice Football Player of the Week poll of the 2024 season .

    Voting closes Thursday at noon.

    Please note that the votes don't always show up immediately. There are lags for the votes to register and a winner isn't declared until hours after the poll closes.

    Isaiah Bennett, Manville

    The junior helped Manville boost its playoff chances with a key 42-15 win over Highland Park. Bennett rushed for 117 yards on 11 carries and three touchdowns, including a 64-yard scamper as the Mustangs won their fourth straight. He also made three tackles.

    Landon Cruz, Edison

    The junior had a big all-around game in the Eagles’ 46-14 win over South Brunswick. Cruz had a 97-yard fumble return for a touchdown, hauled in a 37-yard pass for a score and made four tackles.

    Jax Jarvis, Middlesex

    The senior shined all over the field in the Blue Jays’ 36-32 win over J.F. Kennedy. Jarvis had 10 carries for 153 rushing yards, including a 74-yard touchdown run. He also had three catches for 95 receiving yards and two scores – a 52-yard touchdown in the first quarter and the winning 34-yard score in the fourth quarter.

    Dom Massaro, South Plainfield

    Massaro can create a highlight just about anytime he touches the ball. In the Tigers’ 35-6 win over South River, the junior scored four touchdowns on a 73-yard kickoff return, a 74-yard interception return and runs of 8 and 15 yards. He finished with eight carries for 101 yards and one catch for 14 yards. Massaro also contributed eight tackles, defended a pass and had a punt return for 29 yards.

    Chukwuma Odoh, St. Thomas Aquinas

    The sophomore helped key a big second half in the Trojans’ 34-20 win over St. Joseph in a meeting of state-ranked teams. Odoh finished with 189 rushing yards on 19 carries and had two scores as St. Thomas Aquinas completed the huge comeback win.

    Nick Pfenning, Ridge

    The junior linebacker led the Red Devils with eight tackles in the 42-14 win over North Brunswick. He added a sack and returned an interception 38 yards for a touchdown as Ridge won its sixth straight.

    Lamar Raiford, J.P. Stevens

    The senior linebacker had a big defensive effort in the Hawks’ 20-18 win over Roselle Park. He posted 14 tackles with eight solo tackles to boost J.P. Stevens. Raiford added three carries for 24 yards (a long of 22) and two catches for 26 yards.

    Zion Risher, Hillside

    The senior quarterback threw four touchdown passes in the Comets’ 40-14 win over Voorhees. Risher tossed three scores in the first half as Hillside took a 27-0 lead into the intermission.
