LAPWAI - An Air Quality Advisory has been issued for the Nez Perce Reservation due to smoke from wildfires. This advisory will remain in effect until Friday, July 26, at 10:00 AM. Wildfire smoke may move in and out of the area depending on fire and wind activity, impacting some areas more than others. No EPA/NPT burn permits will be approved during this period.

Strong winds and thunderstorms across eastern Oregon and western Idaho Wednesday further complicated matters for fire managers as resources are already stretched thin.
