Officials provide update on 'exotic' non-native critter spotted on Colorado trail
In case you missed it, a Patagonian Mara – native to Argentina – was recently spotted on a trail in the Denver area. The sighting raised obvious questions – for starters, how did an animal native to an entirely different part of the world end up in the Centennial State? About two weeks after the sighting went viral, Colorado Parks and Wildlife has posted an update on the situation. The...
Colorado's record number of water-related deaths so far this year
As Colorado swelters, people naturally take to the water. But this year is on track for a record number of drownings in the state's lakes, rivers and reservoirs. A man who fell off of his inner tube and drowned while on the Arkansas River last weekend became Colorado’s 25th water-related death this season, which is on course to become the worst on record according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials.

You gotta love seeing smart moves from the Broncos front office
The Denver Broncos are rebuilding and I’m encouraged to see the moves the team is making today as they embrace an actual rebuild. Quinn Meinerz is one hell of a great NFL guard. He’s worked his tail off since he was drafted (and before) to get to this point in his career. He’s earned this extension and shows signs of being a player with a very long career in front of him.
Sam’s Club To Make Drastic Change for Colorado Members
People absolutely love huge warehouse stores. For many, paying the cost of admission to get access to some incredible deals on anything from food to electronics is simply too good of a deal to pass up. However, there has been some recent controversy with how these stores are dealing out...
Colorado Parks and Wildlife has a plan to improve outdoor recreation. Let the agency know what you think.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is looking for feedback from the public on a five-year plan to improve and sustain its outdoor recreation programs. Goals in the plan include mostly general concepts, like creating programs so “all Coloradans and visitors have access to and opportunity for sustainable outdoor recreation” and directing more financial resources to recreation and conservation programs.

Broncos Great Terrell Davis Says Race Was Underlying Reason For Airplane Arrest
It appears United Airlines messed with the wrong person. After inexplicably being removed from a United plane in handcuffs over the weekend, Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis is putting the airline on blast for the way it treated him during the incident. "I certainly felt like that wouldn’t ...
Broncos’ Rising Star ‘Breaks The Bank’ With $80 Million Contract: Report
The Denver Broncos took care of an important piece of business on the cusp of training camp. While much of the offseason has been about cap management in light of the decision to cut Russell Wilson brought with it an $85 million dead cap hit ($53 million in 2024), their latest move involved new money.

Nikola Jokic and Serbia lost their friendly matchup against Australia ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics by a score of 84-73 on Tuesday afternoon. The Denver Nuggets three-time MVP was his typical star self for the Serbs, as he posted a double-double on the day with 14 points and 14 rebounds. ...
Milliken Police Officer Cleared Of Criminal Wrongdoing In Teen’s Shooting
A Milliken police officer has been cleared of any criminal charges in connection with the shooting of a teenager last month. That determination was made by Weld County DA Michael Rourke who issued his decision in a press release Wednesday. Authorities say on June 3rd, 18 year old Colin Brixius called police to say he was in front of Milliken Middle School and told police to come get him. Upon an officer’s arrival, Brixius reportedly began to run at the officer with a large knife in hand, prompting the officer to first deploy his Taser, which had no effect, and then to fire five rounds. Brixius was released from the hospital July 11, and booked into the Weld County Jail on charges of first-degree assault on a public official and felony menacing.
