More than 20 streets flood in Savannah on Saturday, leaving abandoned vehicles
Savannah experienced heavy rainfall on Saturday, leading to streets flooding and abandoned vehicles throughout the city. Between 7 a.m. yesterday and 7 a.m. today, Coffee Bluff experienced 3.51 inches of rain ― the highest rain total of any area in Savannah during that time period, according to an email sent from Jonathan Lamb, meteorologist for the National Weather Service (NWS) Charleston Office.

A developer has submitted plans to replace former FBI and Offshore Power Systems buildings with a mixed-income housing complex. Plans call the project “the 7820 Arlington Residential Development,” although it’s uncertain whether this will be the community’s official name.
