Man sentenced to 123 years in prison for his role in Bloomington shooting
A Chicago area man has been sentenced to 123 years in prison for his involvement in a fatal shooting that occurred on Bloomington's west side in 2020. Malcolm J. Johnson, 31, of Riverdale, was convicted in May of killing 20-year-old Jaleel Johnson, who was a father and concrete worker. The shooting also resulted in injuries to two other people who were in their 20s.

Aurora, IL – Rollover Crash Leaves One Dead, Two Injured
Aurora, IL – Aurora Police are investigating a rollover crash that left one dead and two injured late Wednesday on the city’s far east side. At around 8:40 p.m., officers and firefighters responded to reports of a rollover crash near E. New York Street and N. Eola Road. According to the Aurora Police Department, the crash involved four vehicles, including a Dodge Challenger that rolled over after losing control. The driver of a 2002 Toyota Camry, Gerardo Cuatzo, 44, of Aurora, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Two others sustained minor injuries.

Chicago man charged in Naperville armed robbery, shooting, police say
A 19-year-old Chicago man has been charged in an armed robbery and shooting in west suburban Naperville that took place earlier this year, Naperville police said Friday.Kanyon J.
