First Meeting of Senate Study Committee on Georgia’s Farmland Preservation to Convene in Statesboro
Georgians invested in the future of the state's agricultural lands can mark their calendars for an upcoming public meeting of significance. The Senate Study Committee on the Preservation of Georgia’s Farmlands is about to convene for the first time, with discussions poised to address the critical factors impacting the state's rural landscapes. Chaired by Sen. Billy Hickman (R–Statesboro), this meeting is scheduled for July 30, 2024, at the Georgia Southern University's Continuing Education Building located at 10449 US Highway 301 in Statesboro, according to the Senate Press.
