LAKELAND,, LANIER COUNTY, Georgia – At the weekly joint meeting of the Lanier County-Lakeland Fire Department meeting, Lanier County Fire Chief Jack Paulson removed Lanier County Fire Equipment from the Main Street joint Fire Station placing that equipment at the Lanier County Annex Building on West Thigpen Avenue. This effectively dissolves the joint leadership of the combined Lanier County-Lakeland Fire Department.
