District 1 News: New resolution authorizes city to contract with plumbers
Hello everyone, At the start of the summer season, my office received numerous calls asking about the status of various water features and drinking fountains within city parks. The City has one plumber who is responsible for preparing the pools, spray parks, drinking fountains, and bathrooms along with addressing any issues that arise in recreation centers, senior centers, and any other city-owned building. One person cannot manage all of these responsibilities and these city services need to be provided for all of our residents.

Dangerous is the word in a three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates
An interesting thing has happened. The Pirates have become a dangerous team. Before the Cardinals series against the Braves happened, the talking heads on the radio were talking about how likely it was that the Cardinals would start the post-All Star break 2-4, and while there was some disagreement, it seemed to them more likely they would lose 2 of 3 to the Pirates than the Braves. This was before one of the starters was Bryce Elder and when Max Fried was supposed to be the Sunday starter.
