City of Elgin welcomes addition of new firetruck to fire department
ELGIN, Okla. (KSWO) - The City of Elgin has a new firetruck and at $375,000, Engine 2 is now one of the largest firetrucks in Comanche County. 7News caught up with Elgin’s fire chief, Mike Baker, who says it will mostly be used in the county, as it has a massive 3,000-gallon tank that’s perfect for fighting fires when there are no hydrants nearby.

Man from Apache shoots dog, throws body in trash can, authorities say
APACHE CO., Okla. (KSWO) - A man from Apache is facing multiple charges after investigators accuse him of killing a dog while he was intoxicated. Aldon Ray Pointer faces five charges in total, including felony animal cruelty, carrying a firearm under the influence, and threatening to perform an act of violence.
