State College Police Arrest Man for Setting Trash on Fire
Police in State College arrested a man yesterday morning after he was caught allegedly setting fire to a pile of trash on East Calder Way and Sowers Street. Arrested was 41-year-old Benjamin Hamby. Hamby is facing charges of arson and risking a catastrophe, after a public works employee caught him starting a fire. The employee extinguished the fire and left the area, but returned a short time later to find Hamby again, lighting the trash on fire. Hamby is in the Centre County Prison in lieu of $80,000 bail.
