Green as the governor can make recommendations. However, this is a private contract dispute. I'm surprised that neither the HNA nor HPH management has requested federal mediation. Maybe there is more to this negotiation than we are not aware of. Nonetheless, through all of this, sadly, patients and their families are the ones who have to deal with their loved one's care.

The entire United States has been dealing with this nursing shortage/bare minimum staffing issues for years upon years. It isn’t only Hawaii 🙄
