    Prince Lot Hula Festival returns in July

    HONOLULU (KHON2) — The 47th Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival will take place on July 20, at the Frank F. Fasi Civic Ground Park in Honolulu from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    The annual events honors Prince Lot Kapuāiwa, an advocate of traditional Hawaiian practices.

    “Our mission is to honor and perpetuate the rich cultural heritage of Hawai‘i,” said Michael Pili Pang, Executive Director of the Moanalua Gardens Foundation. “The Prince Lot Hula Festival is a vibrant testament to Prince Lot Kapuāiwa’s legacy and his unwavering dedication to preserving our traditions. We are excited to welcome the community to this year’s festival and to continue sharing the beauty of hula with the world.”

    The Prince Lot Hula Festival was founded in 1978. It attracts over 10,000 attendees every year making it the largest non-competitive hula festival in Hawai‘i. The festival highlights the unique styles of hula by kumu hula and their hālau.
