New dinner pairings debut at Waikiki’s Moana Surfrider

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Adrian Solorzano, Chef De Cuisine, and Justin Shaw, Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, joined Wake Up 2day to share about two new dinner offerings and pairings that guests can expect.

Chef Solorzano shared, “The Sommelier Series at Moana Surfrider’s Vintage 1901 wine lounge is an exciting showcase of curated themes that celebrate the art of wine pairing. These themes, such as ‘Sweet, Summer and Sauv,’ ‘Chops and Cherries,’ ‘Low and Slow,’ and ‘Sip, Savor and Sake,’ guide our sommeliers in selecting wines that perfectly complement the flavors and nuances of each dish. For example, a theme like ‘Sweet, Summer and Sauv’ might inspire us to feature vibrant Sauvignon blancs that enhance lighter, seasonal fare.
