    ‘Midsummer Night’s Gleam’ returns to Foster Botanical Garden in Honolulu

    HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation’s Honolulu Botanical Gardens announced the return of Midsummer Night’s Gleam at Foster Botanical Garden on Saturday, July 20.

    The botanical garden will host a variety of family-friendly activities and performances, and showcase thousands of light displays.

    The event will start at 3 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

    This year’s event theme is the “Tanabata Star Festival.” Visitors are invited to participate in the tradition by placing their wishes on one of two Tanabata trees at the garden’s entrance.

    Entrance fees

    Keiki ages 0 – 5 | FREE

    6 – 17 years old | $1

    18 and up | $3

    According to organizers, non-reservation entry is available, but very limited. Attendees with reservations can either print or show a proof of registration.
