Carousel Childcare Center in Anchorage cleans up after car crashes into their building
Although it may seem quiet now, that was not the case over the weekend at Carousel Childcare Center on Debarr Road and Beaver Place in Anchorage. Alaska Army National Guardsmen and women return from Kuwait
ANCHORAGE (KTUU) - About 100 members of the Alaska Army National Guard returned to the state Aug. 10 after nine months of being deployed in Kuwait. Saturday’s stormy weather delayed a plane full of National Guardsmen scheduled to land at JBER at 3 p.m. The delay did not dampen the spirits of those waiting for their return. Sitka Food Co-op has been approved to accept and redeem the State of Alaska’s Supplemental Assistance Nutritional Assistance Program (known as “SNAP”). Per USDA.gov, Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) is an electronic system that allows a Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participant to pay for food using SNAP benefits.
