Agreement reached on demolition plan
The City of Danville and Vermilion County have an agreement on the demolition of Bresee Tower and the connected former Courthouse annex. The accord came after the latest meeting of representatives of both governmental bodies. The city owns the Tower, and the county owns the annex. The Tower has been vacant for years and is deemed a safety hazard. The county offices have been moved out the annex to the Cannon Building.

Three Springfield artists win 2024 City Arts Grants
The Springfield Area Arts Council has announced its three recipients of the 2024 City Arts Grants: Reggie Guyton for performing arts, Devin Larson for visual arts and Jaliyah Ross for literary arts.
