HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. ( NEWS10 ) — The Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of two people from Hoosick Falls after a drug sale investigation. Jacen Blair, 46, and Rebecca Gorman, 33, are both facing multiple charges.
On July 12, deputies executed a search warrant at a home on Scott Street in Hoosick alongside state police and Hoosick Falls Police in connection to an ongoing investigation. During the search, Blair and Gorman were allegedly found with just over two and a half ounces of fentanyl and cocaine, as well as packaging materials, scales, cash and a .22 caliber rifle.
Blair and Gorman were taken into custody at the scene without incident. They now face the following charges:
Two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
“Collaboration among law enforcement agencies is essential when it comes to tackling the complex and pervasive issue of drug trafficking and abuse,” said Rensselaer County Sheriff Kyle Bourgault. “Partnering with fellow law enforcement entities ensures a unified and effective response, prioritizing the protection of our communities and preserving public safety.”
Blair and Gorman were arraigned at the Hoosick Town Court before being released on their own recognizance, with future court dates scheduled.
