NEPA man arrested for attacking police officer
An Edwardsville man was arrested after punching and pushing a police officer down the stairs, According to police. Joshua Hall faces aggravated assault charges after a disturbance was reported in his home on Monday afternoon. Hall then allegedly lunged at the police officer, punching her in the face, and pushing her down a flight of stairs, before fleeing on foot. Hall was later arrested by Kingston and Plymouth officers. The officer was transported to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for the injuries to the left side of her face and her right knee. Hall was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and evading arrest, and is being held without bail.

Lock Haven, Pa. — Investigators have released their preliminary report into the plane crash that killed a 17-year-old Hughesville girl earlier this month. A witness near the site told investigators the Cessna 172N airplane, flown by Maisie Bitler, was only 200 feet above the ground when it passed over him just before the crash.
