Franklin Man Sentenced to 30 Years for Child Molesting Involving Edinburgh and Greenwood Victims
A man from Franklin has been handed a lengthy prison sentence for sexually abusing children after a series of disturbing events that stretched over a six-year span. Mark Bray, 52, will serve 30 years behind bars followed by a decade of probation, and is mandated to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life; this comes after he initially faced four charges of child molesting and one charge of sexual misconduct with a minor, according to to FOX59.
Seymour Police arrest North Vernon woman for fraud, theft at Home Depot
SEYMOUR, Ind. – After a two-week investigation, the Seymour Police Department (SPD) arrested a Jennings County woman for theft and fraud on Wednesday. Ready House LLC, a project management and maintenance company in Georgia, advised SPD that they had sub-contracted S and D Pump Construction to do some work at a residence in Indianapolis that involved replacing a water utility pit for approximately $3,200 on July 2, but the work was never completed.
Greenwood Sports Park opens on Friday

FORUM Credit Union announces an organizational promotion and new hire within its technology and auditing teams. Karri Gates has been promoted to Assistant Vice President - Project Management in the Technology Department. She has been with FORUM since December 2006 and has served in various roles including Contact Center Manager, Retail Delivery Project Manager, Core Conversion Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager. She received her Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University, her Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana, and her Master Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University. She is currently a member of the Indiana State University Alumni Association and she is a member/volunteer for the Fishers High School Gridiron Club. In her new role, Karri will drive FORUM’s technology project management strategy and lead many of the complex projects that support FORUM’s business plan and operations.

Greenwood Man Allegedly Shoots Brother and Mother Over Leftover Ribs Dispute
An argument that escalated over leftovers at a family gathering resulted in one man allegedly shooting his brother and their mother this past Friday. Marcus Dewayne Mundy, a 34-year-old Greenwood resident, is now facing attempted murder charges. The dispute centered around who would get to relish the remaining ribs from a dinner party at their mother's house.
