New Wild Eggs restaurant opens in Avon
AVON, Ind. — A new restaurant is open in Avon. Wild Eggs, a contemporary breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant chain, has opened its new location at 9769 E. U.S. 36. The location previously served as the site of a Jack in the Box, which closed in 2017. The Jack in the Box building was razed and a new multi-unit commercial space was built in its place. Wild Eggs will occupy the space previously held by a Denny's that closed in 2023.

Algae blooms foul the taste of Bloomington’s drinking water most summers, but without prevention the effects could escalate. Indiana State Parks’ Deputy Director of Stewardship Ginger Murphy said blue-green algae thrives in Lake Monroe when nutrient-rich fertilizer and waste wash into the lake. She said algae blooms can produce toxins that endanger people and animals. She said Lake Monroe is safe for visitors provided they shower after swimming, but dogs should stay out of Indiana lakes.
