Over $4 million awarded to Eastern Carolina park improvements
RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) - Ten parks in Eastern Carolina are receiving funding from the state for improvements and accessibility features. The Governor’s Office announced the awarding of $17.9 million in grant funding to parks across the state, with $4 million of that impacting parks here in the east. This funding comes through the Parks and Recreation Trust Fund, or PARTF, which was approved in a meeting on Aug. 23.
