Legends Football Camp comes to Clare for its 4th year with nine former Lions in attendance
CLARE - The Legends Football Camp is back in Clare for its 4th year, and nine former lions were coaching local kids from all over Michigan. The camp was founded in 2019 by former Lions wide receiver Jeff Chadwick where there were just 100 kids, nowadays the camp has about 500 attendees eager to learn from former NFL players. Chadwick talked about how much better the camp has gotten year after year. “We just try every year just to better ourselves, not only from the coaching standpoint, but just how the camp is run, who we have here and how we get the word out there.” Said Chadwick. “This is our best year ever, so, we’re excited about it. We filled up the camp probably four to six weeks into putting it out there.” Lomas Brown has back to help out for his fourth year in a row, something that he very much enjoys doing.

Annual Lumberjack Festival returns to Farwell this weekend
FARWELL — The Farwell community is gearing up for their annual Lumberjack Festival. For more than 20 years ago, the festival has drawn thousands to the area for the weekend. A car show, farmers market, contests and food are just a few things to check out. If chicken chucking doesn’t perk your interest, the Great Lakes Timber Show should bring you in. They perform three times a day to show skills in log rolling, ax throwing and even chainsaw competitions. Another important aspect of the festival is the nod to Farwell’s history.
VFW 1075 Hosts Another Successful Car, Truck and Bike Show
HARRISON – This year’s VFW 1075 Car, Bike and Truck Show held Saturday, July 6, was once again participant rich, similar to last year’s event. While not all of the pre-registered 29 participants showed up on the day, others just dropped in without prior registration, which brought that number back up. MyMichigan Medical Center Clare Breaks Ground On New Expansion
MyMichigan Medical Center Clare officially broke ground on a new 51,000 square foot expansion and revitalization project Tuesday. The project comes in two phases, with the first including construction of a new two-story section to house a new Emergency Department, new Inpatient Unit with all private rooms, and an expanded Imaging Department, including a fixed MRI Unit. Access to the Medical Center for 24/7 outpatient services, including lab, X-ray and CT imaging, will also be improved.
