Central Michigan University is moving its medical school to Saginaw, the university announced Tuesday. As demand for medical education and health care grows in Michigan and nationally, Central Michigan University’s College of Medicine is pursuing a plan to expand its programs and consolidate into a new home as part of the Medical Diamond Project in Saginaw, the university said.
Midland school board approves superintendent performance objectives
The Midland Public Schools board of education spent the majority of its 75-minute regular meeting on Monday in a closed session discussing litigation. The closed session lasted about 50 minutes and was the final item on the agenda before the adjournment. The agenda said the closed session was a "Consultation with legal counsel regarding pending litigation as permitted under MCL 15.268 section 8 (e)."

A pair of Northwood University pitchers — one past, one present — are heading west. MyMichigan Medical Center Clare Breaks Ground On New Expansion
MyMichigan Medical Center Clare officially broke ground on a new 51,000 square foot expansion and revitalization project Tuesday. The project comes in two phases, with the first including construction of a new two-story section to house a new Emergency Department, new Inpatient Unit with all private rooms, and an expanded Imaging Department, including a fixed MRI Unit. Access to the Medical Center for 24/7 outpatient services, including lab, X-ray and CT imaging, will also be improved.
