McLaren nurses get forensic certifications
Two nurses who have specialized training have earned accreditations, advancing McLaren Central Michigan’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program. Registered nurses Beth Nesbitt, the hospital’s SANE program coordinator; and Rose Shufelt, who is wound care certified, have each been certified by the International Association of Forensic Nurses with SANE-A accreditations.
Cancer Services receives support from the Midland 100 Club
The Midland 100 Club selected Cancer Services for financial support at its May 1 meeting. Cancer Services provides non-medical support for private counseling, support groups, wellness activities, nutritional counseling, lodging and transportation to long distance medical appointments, and financial assistance when people are undergoing treatment and are unable to work.
