Man injured in late-night Peoria shooting
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — A 19-year-old man was sent to the hospital being shot near Starr Street and Westmoreland Avenue Wednesday night. According to a report filed at the Peoria Police Department, shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, an alert from the ShotSpotter gunfire detection system indicated that 10 rounds were fired near the intersection of south Westmoreland Avenue and West Starr Street. While officers were headed toward the intersection, they were told a victim was at Starr Liquors located at in the 2000 block of West Starr Street.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has announced a temporary road closure affecting U.S. 36 just west of Morton. Dunlap officially approves plans to construct $8.5 million training center at high school
The Dunlap school board on Wednesday night approved plans to move ahead with an $8.5 million indoor athletic complex. A 42,500-square-foot indoor facility — the Dunlap Training Center — will be constructed on the high school campus at the corner of Legion Hall Road and Cedar Hill Drive in Dunlap. The Dunlap Training Center is slated to be funded by the school's reserves, containing about $38 million, according to Dunlap superintendent Scott Dearman.
