    Hopkinton Select Board will interview four finalists for town manager on July 9

    HOPKINTON The Select Board on Tuesday will interview the four finalists seeking to become Hopkinton's next town manager.

    Interviews are scheduled to start at 5:10 p.m. and are scheduled for three hours.

    Finalists include Hopkinton Assistant Town Manager Elaine Lazarus; Foxb or ough Town Engineer/Assistant Director of Public Works Lance DelPriore; former Williamstown Town Manager Jason Hoch; and Cohasset Town Manager Christopher Senior.

    Whoever is chosen will replace Norman Khumalo , who stepped down earlier this year after 15 years on the job. Khumalo had announced in December that he was leaving to become vice president for government relations and growth at Solect Energy , a Hopkinton-based solar company that's owned by multinational sustainable energy company Pattern Energy .

    Elaine Lazarus

    Lazarus has been with Hopkinton since 1992, when she was hired as planning director/town planner. From 2010-16, she was director of land use, planning and permitting. From 2016-20, she was director of land use and town operations.

    She was promoted to assistant town manager in 2020, and has served as Hopkinton's interim town manager since April.

    She previously worked in municipal roles in Charlton, Dudley, Wellesley and Boston.

    Lazarus holds two master's degrees: one in community planning from the University of Rhode Island and another in public administration from Suffolk University . She also has certificates in effective leadership development and in local government leadership and management.

    Lance DelPriore

    DelPriore has been with Foxborough since 2020, working as town engineer and assistant director of public works. He also served as treasurer for the United Steelworkers Union-Local 9517, from 2020-23.

    Prior to working in Foxborough, DelPriore was assistant town engineer, as well as a planning specialist and health agent for Sharon from 2015-20.

    He was also a civil engineer for three years with Boston-based Weston & Sampson Inc . and an air traffic controller for the United States Air Force from 2004-08.

    DelPriore holds a master's degree in public administration from Suffolk University, a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts and associate's degrees in professional aeronautics and airway science.

    He is also a licensed civil engineer and a certified public purchasing officer.

    Jason Hoch

    Hoch was town manager in Williamstown from 2015-21. Since then, he has been deputy director of the Innovation Institute at Massachusetts Tech Collaborative .

    He previously served as town administrator in Litchfield, New Hampshire, from 2010-15; town manager in Plaistow, New Hampshire, from 2006-08; town manager in Littleton, New Hampshire, from 2002-06; and assistant town manager before that since 1998.

    He also owned municipal consulting firm called J.H. Consulting in New Hampshire.

    Hoch holds a master's degree in regional planning from Cornell University and earned a certificate for senior executives in state and local government from Harvard University .

    Christopher Senior

    Senior has been Cohasset's town manager since 2014. He previously served as deputy town supervisor in North Hempstead, New York, from 2004-14. He also served as legal adviser for the Nassau County (N.Y.) Planning Board from 2002-04 and staff counsel for the National Association of Homebuilders in Washington from 1999 to 2002.

    Senior holds a law degree from Hofstra University and bachelor's degrees in economics and journalism from Boston University.
