Moxion's Giga Factory construction continues despite announced layoffs
Despite announcing layoffs that will gut the bulk of its Richmond crew, construction continues on what will become the expansive Moxion Giga Factory at the Port of Richmond. In a surprise move last week, Moxion filed a WARN notice with the Employment Development Department, stating the planned layoffs in August would impact “up to 101 employees" at the company’s Richmond location at the Ford Assembly Building.

Man arrested for alleged robbery in Ukiah; second suspect being sought
UKIAH, Ca., 7/4/24 — Ukiah Police Department (UPD) arrested a man on the evening of June 25 on suspicion of robbery. UPD is currently looking for a second suspect. Police responded to the alleged robbery in progress near Express Mart on Gobbi Street in Ukiah. A 28-year-old man reported that two suspects robbed him of his bicycle and personal belongings. The suspects fled before police arrived.
