Sloan comes with all the bona fides you’d want to see in an early-round high school draft pick: he’s got a high-octane fastball, he’s built like a walk-in refrigerator, and he seems almost blissfully ignorant of the talent he’s been granted in his right arm (witness him talking about discovering his late-fade changeup like he found a dollar on the street).

Colby Thornhill wins night 1 of the Hall of Fame, 360 Battle Royale, Thomas, Sweatman also get wins. Tony Gomes and Dominic Scelzi led the all California front row to green but things would come to a stop as Destry Miller would do a front wheelie and flip in the rear of the field and quickly exit the car under his own power. On the second attemp there would once again be a caution for an incident with Tim Martin, Levi Klatt, and TJ Richman. On the 3rd attempt Gomes would take the lead after what looked like brief contact with Scelzi in turn 3 and on lap 2 Johnny Burke looked like he came down and Chase Goetz made contact and flipped in between turn 1 and 2 (driver was okay). On the next restart Scelzi would dive into turn 1 and pass Gomes coming out of turn 2 with Colby Thornhill quickly moving into second. In a couple laps Scelzi would have trouble getting by with two lapped cars battling for position and Thornhill would make some clutch moves and pass both the lap cars and Scelzi to take the lead.We would have 2 more stoppages for Colton Heath andAustin Taborski, then Dan Reynold with a crazy wall ride which would cause 3rd place Gomes to spin but he would keep going to retain his spot. After a fuel stop and a late caution Thornhill was able to hold off a late challenge from Scelzi followed by Dominic Gordon, and your last locked in car for Sunday Tony Gomes. Your shark racing engines hard charger was Levi Klatt, and the Bayview Building Materials hard charger was Luke Didiuk. Heat race winners went to Chase Goetz, Tyler Thompson, Colton Heath, Dominic Scelzi, Dominic Gordon, Jordi Meese, and your high points was Dominic Scelzi..
