New owner of Aretha Franklin’s childhood home in Memphis on mission to preserve history
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The new owner of Aretha Franklin’s childhood home says her goal is to preserve the birthplace of the Queen of Soul. Anasa Troutman purchased the home last Friday at auction. She is the same person who purchased Clayborn Temple and said her goal is to make sure history does not fade away.

For the first time, gospel icons Blind Boys of Alabama and Blues Hall of Famer Bobby Rush have collaborated on a recording released today.
