CLARK COUNTY, Ind. (WAVE) - A week after New Chapel EMS had no paramedic on duty for 12 hours because of a scheduling mistake, Clark County is searching for a backup company to supplement New Chapel. The county emergency manager told commissioners Thursday night, New Chapel EMS doesn’t have the staff to fulfill its contract.

Today we are seeing mostly clear skies throughout most of the daylight hours, seeing an increase in cloud coverage as we get into the late afternoon and evening. There is potential for rain showers and possible storms in our more mountainous regions throughout the day but especially towards the afternoon hours. High temperatures for today are in the mid to high 80s in the lowlands and the mid to high 70s in the higher elevations.
