Lightning strike destroys part of an Horry County church, HCFR says
HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - An Horry County church steeple was destroyed on Tuesday by an apparent lightning strike, according to Horry County Fire Rescue. Crews were dispatched just before 7 p.m. to the church in the 4000 block of Highway 65 in Conway. A second alarm was sent out for additional resources, HCFR said.
Conway man sentenced for 2022 attack, shooting of fellow CCU student
HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — On Tuesday, a Conway man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for an assault and burglary that took place in an Horry County apartment in 2022. Reginald Francis Neville, 23, pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, said Assistant Solicitor Jim Stanko, who prosecuted the case for the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
