HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – An Horry County church steeple was destroyed on Tuesday by an apparent lightning strike, according to Horry County Fire Rescue. Crews were dispatched just before 7 p.m. to the church in the 4000 block of Highway 65 in Conway. A second alarm was sent out for additional resources, HCFR said.
