Officers found Howell in room 136 of the hotel, and police say they also found methamphetamine, psychedelic mushrooms, other drugs, a scale, and packaging materials inside the room.

Howell was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class AII felony. Other charges are pending.

Howell’s charges were read in the Horseheads Village Court, and he was taken to the Chemung County Jail. He is currently being held at the jail without bail on his parole warrant.
