Logan Knowles to start new company

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – One of Horseheads’ most motivational athletes is making more history.

Logan Knowles, an inspirational athlete born with cerebral palsy, is completing another first. Knowles is starting a new company which will allow him to give back to communities around the country. The name of Knowles’ first company is Logan Knowles – Logan Speaks LLC. It’s a company dedicated to sharing Logan’s experiences as an athlete who continues to defy the odds everyday of his life.

In an effort to share his story, Knowles will open up for bookings for special guest speaking appearances, school talks and more. Just last month, Knowles once again played in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Pro-Am at En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott for the second time. In doing so, Knowles became the first player born with a disability to compete in the event.

Knowles earned a gold medal in skiing at the 2015 Nastar National Championship and continues to serve as a motivational speaker for adaptive athletes around the country. Knowles is also a leader for the Seahorse Foundation aimed to provide a school for students with disabilities in Mexico.
