King Wins Miss Boomtown Crown, Heads to Miss Arkansas
EL DORADO - Alli Beth King was crowned Miss Boomtown 2025 Saturday, Aug. 24, in El Dorado, Arkansas. Miss Boomtown is a preliminary for the Miss Arkansas pageant to be held at Robinson Auditorium in June 2025. This will be King's third time to compete in Miss Arkansas. She held the title of Miss Arkansas Tech University in 2022 and Miss Southeast Arkansas in 2023. King's CSI (Community Service Initiative) is 'It Starts With One.' She is a 2020 graduate of Rison High School and a 2024 graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Psychology. She is the daughter of Davy and Kim Kaye King of Rison. She is the granddaughter of Bruce and Kay Brown of Pansy, DeAnna King of Rison, the late Larry King, and the late Wanda Clay.

City at risk of losing federal grant for Fisher Ditch cleanup due to unsecured easements
WYNNE — The City of Wynne is at risk of losing a federal grant it received to help clean up the Fisher Ditch near Wynne High School.
