July 31 is the deadline to take advantage of lower local rates made possible by the Bissell Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters national adoption effort, which encompasses about 400 shelters in 44 states. Local interest has been slow since the Bissell event started July 8.
Jonesboro Man Held on $1 Million Bond for Alleged Rape of Minor
JONESBORO, Ark. – A man is charged with a felony count of rape involving a minor in Jonesboro. John Steven Walton, 45, of Jonesboro, was arrested this week for a Class Y felony charge of rape. On Wednesday, July 24, Judge David Boling set a $1 million bond, cash/surety, meaning he will need to come up with $100,000 if he is to be released.
