Jonesboro Man Held on $1 Million Bond for Alleged Rape of Minor
JONESBORO, Ark. – A man is charged with a felony count of rape involving a minor in Jonesboro. John Steven Walton, 45, of Jonesboro, was arrested this week for a Class Y felony charge of rape. On Wednesday, July 24, Judge David Boling set a $1 million bond, cash/surety, meaning he will need to come up with $100,000 if he is to be released.

Stuttgart Planning Commission votes to annex 242 acres for new industrial and residential development
The Stuttgart Planning Commission voted to annex 242 acres of industrial and residential property into the city limits during its regular meeting Tuesday night. Bethany Hildebrand, executive director of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce, spoke on behalf of the Stuttgart Industrial Development Corporation (SIDC), an arm of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce.
