FSU football: 2024 offense could have the most speed it's had in a long time
The FSU offense will have several new faces after the departure of several key players. Mike Norvell has transformed the offense over the past few years compared to the first two. It's more explosive, efficient, and adaptable to the strengths and weaknesses of each opponent. One thing the offense has lacked since Norvell arrived is overall speed. Trey Benson and Jashun Corbin were exceptions, capable of breaking off long touchdown runs. Ja'Khi Douglas has shown flashes and others here and there. Mike Norvell and the coaching staff knew they needed to acquire more speed, and it was a major focus over the past couple of years. The 2024 offense might have the most overall speed of any FSU team in recent memory. The key will be getting the players acclimated in the offense to take advantage of that speed.
