Houma bar shooting suspect found on tugboat in Texas

HOUMA, La. ( WGNO ) — A second suspect, who was allegedly involved in a Houma bar shooting, was arrested on a tugboat in Port Arthur, Texas on Tuesday, July 9.

According to Houma police, 34-year-old Devon Randall was one of five suspects wanted after an argument turned violent at Thirsty’s Bar on Barataria Boulevard .

At 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 30, officers responded to a report of a shooting that left three people wounded.

The first suspect, 27-year-old Dontrell Robertson was arrested and booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex and faces charges of attempted second-degree murder.

On Thursday, July 11, Houma police announced that Randall was wanted on three charges of attempted second-degree and a charge of felony illegal use of a weapon.

That same day, Terrebonne Parish detectives called Port Arthur police, alerting them that Randall was on a tugboat in their area.

In collaboration with the Port Arthur Police Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Marine Unit and the tugboat owner, the boat docked and Randall was found and arrested.

A search of his criminal background revealed that he also had two active felony warrants from Harris County.

Houma police continue to search for 32-year-old Akeem Ross, 24-year-old Sebastian Beck and 32-year-old Adrian Williams.
