Houma man arrested in child pornography investigation

HOUMA, La. ( WGNO ) — A Houma man was arrested in connection with a child pornography investigation on Monday, July 22.

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office reported its Special Victims Unit received a tip from the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program in June about alleged evidence of child pornography linked to a computer in the parish.

Following an investigation, TPSO detectives said they discovered and linked evidence of child pornography to 32-year-old Steven James Parker.

TPSO officials said Parker was taken in for questioning on Monday, July 22, where he “admitted to sending/possessing video(s), but refused to admit knowledge of what the video(s) contained.”

Parker was then arrested and faces charges of pornography involving juveniles.
