A Wright County Sheriff’s Department deputy was injured Friday morning in an accident on Highway 95 about 13 miles north of Mountain Grove.

Tpr. Zayne Tate said an eastbound 2006 GMC Sierra driven by Nicholas J. Mayberry, 35, of Willard, failed to yield the right-of-way and struck a northbound 2016 Ford Explorer patrol car driven by William T. Busby, 27, of Hartville.

Busby had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon. Tate said everyone was wearing a seat belt. Both vehicles had extensive damage.

Assisting at the scene were Tpr. Chad Johnson and Cpl. Jacob Sellars.
