One person was injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash near Mountain Grove, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Justin Dedmon said an eastbound 1990 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 17-year-old boy from Willow Springs struck the rear of a 1992 Ford F-150 operated by Melvin Edwards, 52, of Cabool, at about 7:35 p.m. three miles west of Mountain Grove on U.S. 60. The Tacoma overturned.

A passenger in the Tacoma — Lydia Peterson, 18, of Buffalo — had moderate injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by ambulance.

The Tacoma was totaled; the Ford had minor damage. Everyone was wearing a seatbelt.

Assisting at the scene was MSgt. Dale Pounds of the patrol.
